5/25/25 - Starting gravity 1.098
6/10/25 - I gave this brew regular nutrient additions according to tosna for the first 4 days, after that it had lost a lot of the strawberry color. Now after fermenting has largely finished it’s gaining color back. I’m thinking I should rack this to a new vessel this weekend
6/14/25 - Racked the mead to my original 1 gal fermenter, final gravity 0.996 which lands me around 13.39%. Campden Tablet was added, and I’m thinking of cooking down some strawberries to use for backsweetening. Kinda winging it on this one.
6/23/25 - I removed 1 cup of liquid and added 1/2cup of honey and 1/2 cup of cooked down strawberries so that makes the calculation for final gravity a bit complicated. I think it should have come out to 12.54% as a final ABV. Going to leave it for a while to clear in the fermenting vessle.
7/11/25 - Well I left it for a bit longer than I thought, thankfully it did clear a lot! Currently sitting at 5 3/4 of a bottle.
